A 42-year-old driver fell unconscious while engaging in a fistfight after he was hit by a killer blow from a much younger foe Friday afternoon in Malabon City.
Darwin Domingo of 58 Custodio St. Bgy. Santulan was rushed to San Lorenzo Ruiz Hospital where he was given emergency treatment from injury he sustained in the head and body.
Malabon Police Sub-Station 3 commander P/Maj. Carlos Cosme immediately ordered his men to conduct a follow-up operation that resulted in the arrest of James Rodney Marquez, 24, helper, while hiding inside his residence at 847 Gulayan, Bgy. Catmon.
Report reaching the office of City Police Chief P/Col. Albert Barot showed that at around 2:30 p.m., the suspect and the victim engaged in a confrontation along Alley 1, Templora St., Bgy. Santulan for still unknown reason.
A heated altercation ensued that resulted in a fistfight, but while exchanging blows, the victim was hit by a killer punch sending him down to the cemented pavement.
Case investigator P/SSgt. Michael Oben said the suspect was presented for inquest proceedings before the Malabon City Prosecutor’s Office on charges for serious physical injury.
