SONS and daughters of former New People’s Army rebels in Eastern Samar are getting creative skills’ training from local policemen to prepare them for the opening of the school year and help them get away from NPA indoctrination.

The move by members of the 1st Eastern Samar Provincial Mobile Force Company to teach basic art and drawing lessons to children of former NPA members in Dolores municipality caught the attention of Philippine National Police chief Gen. Guillermo Lorenzo Eleazar, who praised the officers for their noble objective.

The PNP chief said he got wind of reports that the Eastern Samar policemen have been providing coloring materials to the kids while teaching them some art activities to help them develop their skills in color recognition and handwriting, which they need as the 2021 academic year is soon to start.

Eleazar praised the local policemen for helping even the children of former rebels.
