A party-list solon urged the school officials to ensure the safety of the students while conducting different drills and other outside activities.

ACT Teachers Rep. France Castro has expressed concern over the reports that about 120 students were taken to hospitals after they fainted and showed symptoms of heat exhaustion during a fire drill in Cabuyao City, Laguna.

Around 2,000 students of the Gulod National High School Extension in Barangay Mamatid participated in the fire drill that started around 3:20 pm last week.

According to Castro, while she understands the intention of the fire or earthquake drill, the safety of the students must ensure while conducting the activities.

She proposed to schools to have proper coordination with the local government units (LGUs) and Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP).
