Kawit mayor offers P200K reward for info on kagawad’s murder
KAWIT, Cavite – Mayor Angelo Aguinaldo posted on his social media page on Friday reward for whoever tells who or who identified the killer of Barangay San Sebastian Kagawad Crisanto Villanueva on February 15, 2022 in front of his house.
“We will not stop until the culprit in the death of our Kagawad Cris is caught. Whoever can point out the killer of Kagawad Cris, we will give him a 200,000 peso reward. Let Kawit PNP [Philippine National Police] know immediately if you have a lead,” Mayor Aguinaldo said in his post on Friday, February 18.
Kagawad Villanueva was shot in the face and chest right in broad daylight in Bgy. San Sebastian.
The victim was identified as Crisanto Talaña Villanueva, who was immediately rushed to San Pedro Calungsod Medical Center but was declared dead on arrival of attending physician Dr. Jewshau Yopo.
The culprit in the murder aboard the blue Yamaha Mio motorcycle has still not been found.
The motive for the killing of the councilor was allegedly political, according to statements by the victim’s family members and friends.
The victim was in front of his house and was shot twice by unidentified suspects who immediately fled toward Bgy. Alapan 2-A, Imus City
Based on the CCTV footage recovered, two suspects wearing only bull caps on motorcycles, parked near the victim’s house, the gunman came down and shot the victim fatally in the face and chest causing his instantaneous death at around 8:10 a.m.
