Kamuning most wanted person nabbed
Policemen arrested the no. 1 “most wanted person” of Kamuning Police Station (PS 10) by virtue of warrants of arrest for the case of rape in Quezon Province.
PLTCOL Alex DJ Alberto, the Station Commander of PS 10, identified the accused as Elman Zoleta, 27 years old, and resident of Brgy. Patabog, Mulanay, Quezon Province. He was arrested at about 5:50 PM of January 12, 2022 at Sitio Tinago, Brgy. Patabog, Mulanay, Quezon Province.
Zoleta has pending warrants of arrest for two counts of Rape under Article 266-A of the Revised Penal Code as amended by R.A. 8353 or the Anti-Rape Law of 1997 in relation to R.A. 7610 or the Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act docketed under Criminal Case Nos. 19-02636 and 19-02637 issued by Hon. Cleto R. Villacorta III, the Presiding Judge of Branch 229, Regional Trial Court, Quezon City, with no bail recommended for the first case while with bail set at Php200,000.00 for the second.
The court of origin will be notified of the arrest of the accused.
“The arrest of the accused by the operatives of the QCPD is a clear manifestation that the Team NCRPO will never stop exerting great efforts to capture all those who have impending accountability under the law even the same amounts to the necessity of crossing the borders,” said PMGEN Vicente D Danao Jr, the Regional Director of the National Capital Region Police Office.
