Jobless man stabbed dead by drinking pal

A 38-YEAR-OLD unemployed man died after being stabbed by a drinker in San Jose, Batangas the other day, according to the police.

San Jose Municipal Police Station (MPS) chief, Major Aleli C. Boaquen identified the victim as Ricky Medios y Orense, single and a resident of Bgy. Lumil, while the suspect was identified as Nolito Perez y Lara, 47, single, also jobless and a resident of Bgy. Sto. Cristo, both in San Jose town.

San Jose District Hospital staff phoned San Jose MPS personnel around 7:30 p.m. and informed them that they admitted a victim of a stabbing incident.

Police immediately responded.

Case officer PSSg Abner L. Umali Jr.’s initial investigations showed that the victim and the suspect together with other friends were seen having a drinking session in Bgy. Lumil at 6:10 p.m.

Moments later for an unknown reason a heated argument ensued between them prompting the suspect to stab the victim’s left torso.

The bloodied victim was immediately brought to San Jose District Hospital but was declared dead upon arrival by Dr. Ronald Ibañez.

Perez with no hesitation voluntarily submitted himself to PLT. Alex B. Vizarra.

Police recovered at the scene the bolo with bloodstains believed to be used by the suspect.
