GAPAN CITY – A 65-year-old jobless man shot and wounded a 34-year-old helper after the duo figured in a heated argument here on Holy Monday.
City Police head Lt. Col. Alexie Desamito identified the wounded victim as Roderick Magcayang, truck helper, and the suspect as William Canasa, both of Bgy. Maburak, this city.
Investigation showed the duo was along the Bgy. Maburak road when a heated argument between them erupted at 1:30 p.m., causing the suspect to leave.
However, the suspect returned a few moments later armed with a handgun and shot the victim before escaping on board a Bajaj tricycle.
Desamito said the victim was immediately rushed to Dr. PJGMRMC for emergency treatment.
Hot pursuit operations are currently being undertaken for the possible arrest of the suspect.
