Jobless man held for P646K shabu, gun
CAMP GENERAL MIGUEL MALVAR, Batangas – Police on Thursday arrested an unemployed man for possession of shabu worth ₱646,000 and a gun during the service of a search warrant in Bgy. Libato, San Juan, Batangas.
According to the report of Batangas Police Provincial Director Col. Samson B. Belmonte to Police Regional Office-Calabarzon Director Brig. Gen. Carlito M. Gaces, the suspect was identified as alias “Jay,” 29, of San Juan town.
Operatives of the San Juan Municipal Police Station, together with the Regional Intelligence Division, Regional Special Operations Unit 4A, arrested the suspect at 5:05 a,m. on September 21.
Recovered from the suspect’s house were a cal. .45 with magazine and ammunition, five packages containing 96 grams of suspected shabu, and a weighing scale.
The operation was conducted based on a search warrant issued on September 14, 2023 by the Regional Trial Court Branch 83 of Tanauan City, Batangas.
Charges for violation of Republic Act 10591 or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act and Republic Act 9165 otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 are being readied for filing in court against the arrested suspect. Jojo Magsombol
