Jobless man held for gun, hand grenade in Tuy
POLICE the other day reported that an unemployed man with possession of a gun and a hand grenade was arrested after serving a search warrant in his residence in Barangay Guinhawa, Tuy, Batangas.
The suspect is a 40-year-old unemployed man, married, and a resident of the said barangay in Tuy.
Case officers Pat. Christian DR Tenorio and PCpl. Ronnel N. Taguibao said the joint operatives of Tuy MPS, headed by P/Maj. Eugenio Nepthali E. Solomon and the 2nd platoon of Provincial Mobile Force Company (PMFC) led by PMSg. Alexis E. Cebeda, team leader, served the search warrant against the suspect for violation of Republic Act No. 10 of 10591 or the “Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act”, duly signed and issued by Executive Judge Carolina F. De Jesus of the Regional Trial Court of Balayan, Batangas.
Confiscated were one cal. 38; six pieces of collective live ammo for cal. 38; a hand grenade; one converted cal. 22; 18 live bullets for cal. 22; and a blue sling bag.
