Jobless man collared for illegal guns, ammo in Batangas City
A JOBLESS man who owned a gun and ammo was arrested during the implementation of a search warrant in his residence in Bgy. Sampaga, Batangas City the other day.
According to Batangas City Police Station Chief Lt. Col Salvador F. Solana, the suspect is a resident of Bgy. Sampaga.
The joint operatives of the Provincial Intelligence Unit (PIU) BPPO, the Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) team of the 2nd Batangas Provincial Mobile Force Company (BPMFC), and Batangas City Police Station (CPS) went to the suspect’s residence to serve the search warrant for violation of “Illegal Possession Of Firearms And Ammunitions Act” (Republic Act A10591) issued by the Batangas City Regional Trial Court Branch 2 on May 30, 2022.
A cal. .45 Armscor, a black sling bag, and a magazine containing seven bullets of the same caliber were recovered from the suspect.
