Japanese nat’l found dead in bathroom
A 76-YEAR-OLD Japanese national the other day was found dead by a woman inside a bathroom in Bgy. Alangilan, Batangas City.
Batangas City Police investigators PSMS David Reyes, PSSg. Joseph Sulit, and PCpl. Brein Alcantara identified the victim as Hideo Sasaki, a Japanese national and presently residing at Beredo Compound.
A telephone call at 2:40 p.m. was received by NUP Erwin Santos, duty radio operator of Batangas CPS, and reported the incident.
Initial investigation showed that at about 12:20 p.m., the victim was found dead by Renalyn Samar, 30, a friend of the victim and resident of Bgy. 12, Batangas City inside the bathroom of the victim’s rented apartment.
According to Anita Cantos, the victim’s girlfriend, Sasaki possibly suffered from cardiac arrest based on his medical history.
The Scene of the Crime Operatives (SOCO) Team led by Police Lieutenant Mylene Addag from Batangas Provincial Forensic Unit was requested to conduct a technical investigation.
The victim‘s body now lies at John Funeral Homes located in Ilaya, Batangas City.
