Janitor shot dead by sikyu during drinking session

A 38-YEAR-OLD janitor was killed after he was shot by a security guard following their heated altercation Tuesday before dawn in Makati City.

Ronald Tolo, 38, stay-in workersat State Condo I, Sotto St., Legaspi Village, Brgy. San Lorenzo died on the spot when he fell from the rooftop of the 7-storey condominium after he was shot repeatedly in the body by Dionisio Tabla, 51, resident of Blk 9. Lot 11, Phase 1, Sandal Wood St. Brgy. Lamgam, San Pedro Laguna, security guard of the condominium.

A report reaching the office of Southern Police District (SPD) Director P/BGen. Jimili Macaraeg showed that earlier, the victim and the suspect were having a drinking session at the rooftop of the condominium when a heated argument ensued between them at around 12:55 a.m.

At the height of their altercation, Tabla drew a caliber .38 revolver and shot the victim repeatedly in the body causing him to fall to the ground.

Duty guard Carlito Pagobo immediately sought police assistance after he saw the victim fall from the rooftop following a burst of gunfire.

Responding elements of Makati police led by P/SSgt. Leo Oliquino and P/Cpl. Arvin Llarvez, along with State Condo I security personnel Noel Imbing and Redgie Tafiada conducted a follow-up operation that resulted in the arrest of Tabla.

Police recovered the caliber .38 revolver with five empty shells and a live bullet in its chamber used by the suspect in the killing from a grassy portion of Rada St., beside the Thailand Embassu building.
