Inamin ni Nadine Lustre that she is still healing mula sa breakup nila ni James Reid at sa pagkamatay ng kanyang nakababatang kapatid noong 2017.

“Healing naman kasi is, I guess, a general thing for me. Even with my brother’s death, I’m still healing,” pahayag ni Nadine sa latest interview niya with Karen Davila para sa YouTube channel ng broadcast/journalist.

“It still gets me. Healing is a long, long process. You never stop healing from anything,” dagdag ng aktres.

Sa nasabi ring panayam, finally ay sinabi rin ni Nadine kung kailan ba talaga sila nag-break ni James.

Matatandaang January of 2020 nang kumpirmahin nila pareho ang breakup.

“The breakup actually happened in November pa last 2019. We were talking about it na. It wasn’t really a bad breakup. We just wanted to work on ourselves.

“I get that people are sad about it but for us, it was a mutual decision. He had to take care of his family, focus on his career and I had to focus on my career and take care of my family as well and myself.

“That’s why we remain friends, like there’s no bad blood or anything,” pahayag ni Nadine.

Asked kung walang third party, sagot ng aktres, “No, no, oh man, wala talaga. It was a mutual decision.”

Dagdag pa niya, “When I moved out, it was, you know, like it was a start of a new chapter. Kasi, I had to grow, we both had to grow.”

At kung talagang para raw sila sa isa’t isa ni James ay tadhana na ang gagawa ng way.

“I believe naman kasi na at the end of the day, if you guys are meant to be together, then it will fall into place, you know. It’s just that we really wanted to work on ourselves,” she said.

Nang matanong naman kung anong klase ng love si James for her, ayon kay Nadine, ay great love.

“I think it was a great love kasi we learned a lot of things. Like we grew a lot, we were helping out each other. Hindi siya ‘yung basta-basta lang, na pa-sweet lang.

“Marami akong natutunan du’n sa relationship namin and a lot of me changed because of that, I guess. For the better, of course.

“I opened up myself to a lot of new things, so great love talaga siya,” paliwanag ni Nadine.

Nang matanong naman kung magmamahal pa ba siya ulit, sagot ni Nadine, “We’ll see. No, I’m sure naman. Kasi love naman, hindi lang naman iyan pang-isang tao. Hindi lang siya for an intimate kind of love. It’s for everyone.”
