Jail officer gunned down in front of wife
A JAIL officer on Saturday night was shot dead in front of his wife in Sto. Tomas City, Batangas.
Sto. Tomas City Police Station chief Lt. Col. Rodel S. Ban-O said the victim was a member of the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) in Cabuyao City, Laguna.
An investigation showed the victim was with his wife inside a mini grocery store in Bgy. San Miguel, Sto. Tomas City when approached by a man armed with a gun and shot several times at 8 p.m. on Saturday.
The gunman fled on a motorcycle.
Police are investigating the killing.
