‘Jackylyn Jose’ held for P27K theft

A 21-YEAR-OLDXcashier and two of her suspected cohorts were arrested for allegedly conspiring to steal more than P27,000 worth of cigarettes Monday afternoon in Malabon City.

Malabon police chief P/Col. Albert Barot identified the arrested suspects as Jackylyn Jose, cashier of Jemms Shoppers Mart and resident of 1 Sevilla St., Bgy. Tinajeros, Myka Veronica Louise Bautista, 26, former supervisor of the store and resident of 4 Escanilla St.,Brgy. Concepcion and Razna Sanglitan, 26, vendor, of 43 Sto Nino St., Bgy. Concepcion.

Investigation conducted by P/MSgt. Julius Mabasa and P/SSgt. Diego Ngippol showed that at around 4:30 p.m., Sanglitan, upon the instruction of Bautista, went to the Jemms Shopper Mart located along Gov. Pascual Avenue, Bgy. Acacia to pick up 240 packs of cigarette worth P27,600.

The items were handed by Jose, the duty cashier, who furnished Sanglitan with an old receipt of assorted items dated June 11, 2021 and allowed her to pass without paying the packs of cigarettes.

Razna carried the stolen items placed inside a cartoon and went out of the store premises but the duty checker chased her to double check the items and discovered that the receipt she showed was not intended for the cigarettes.

With the assistance of policemen from Malabon Police Sub-Station 2 and watchmen from Bgy. Acacia, the suspects were arrested by duty security guard of the store.
