The former couple ay nabiyayaan ng three grown-up children na sina Kenneth, Rikki Mae at Jacqueline Arabella with the latter as the only one following the footsteps of her parents in showbiz.

Legally, mag-asawa pa rin sina Jackie Lou at Ricky dahil wala sa kanila nag-file ng annulment to rescind their marriage. Although they live separately, they’re just two streets away from each other dahil ayaw nilang mahirapan ang kanilang mga anak na magpalipat-lipat ng bahay.

“I cannot deny the fact that he’s still my husband legally and he’s the father of my children,” pag-amin ni Jackie sa aming exclusive na panayam sa kanya sa aming online talk show, ang “TicTALK with Aster Amoyo” on my YouTube channel.

Jackie Lou is not closing her doors sa possibility of reconciling with her ex-husband.

“If it’s God’s will, so be it,” aniya.

“It’s means a lot to my mom na makita kaming kumpleto,” kuwento pa ni Jackie Lou. “And I appreciated him for that.”

Jackie Lou was only one year old when she was personally kidnapped by her own dad, the late businessman Gonzalo Blanco. Pilita was already at the peak of her career then. Pero sa kabila ng kanyang very busy schedule, she would be at the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) for updates on her daughter na dinala ng kanyang ama sa Amerika.

Since it was a celebrated case covered by the media, napilitan ang ama ni Jackie Lou na ibalik kay Pilita ang bata pero pinatawad pa rin ng mom ni Jackie Lou ang kanyang ama at hindi niya ito sinampahan ng kaso. He could have rot in jail kung ginusto ni Pilita at sa halip ay binigyan pa niya ng visitation rights ang ama ni Jackie Lou sa kanyang anak kaya nagkaroon ng magandang bonding at memory ang mag-ama.

Jackie Lou was 16 when her dad passed away.

When her dad’s relatives checked his vault, only photo albums of his daughter were there.

Jackie Lou is forever grateful to her mom na si Pilita Corrales because of her selfless love not only for her kundi maging sa kapatid niyang si Monching Gutierrez (Ramon Christopher) at sa kanyang mga apo and great grandchildren and the people around her.

The singer, actress, host was only 14 years old when she started in showbiz bilang isa sa mga co-host ng yumaong star builder and Master Showman na si German `Kuya Germs’ Moreno via the weekly show na “Germside”. Then the late Eddie Ilarde took her in as one of the co-hosts ng dating noontime show ng GMA, ang “Student Canteen” kaya doon nagsimula ang kanyang pagiging mahusay na host. Nang mawala ang “Student Canteen,” she continued being Kuya Germ’s co host in “Germspecial,” “GMA Supershow” and “Walang Tulugan with the Master Showman”.

Sa “GMA Supershow,” bukod kay Jackie Lou ay naging co-host din ni Kuya Germs sina Sharon Cuneta, Zsa Zsa Padilla, Jam Morales, Gretchen Barretto, Lani Mercado, Maricel Laxa at iba pa but Jackie Lou stayed on the show up to the very end hanggang malipat na si Kuya Germs sa late night show, ang “Walang Tulugan…” na hindi rin iniwan ng singer-actress-host hanggang sa huli.
“Kuya Germs was just like my second dad. He taught me so much about life, about showbiz, about everything,” aniya.

“When he passed on, isa ako sa sobrang nalungkot,” patuloy niya.

When Ricky started visiting her at home, hindi niya umano ito hinaharap because she was still nursing a broken heart sa paghihiwalay nila ni Martin Nievera.

“When he stopped coming to the house, doon ko naman siya na-miss,” pag-amin ni Jackie Lou.

But just like any other celebrity marriages, tumagal lamang ng mahigit isang dekada ang kanilang pagiging mag-asawa at nauwi rin ito sa kanilang paghihiwalay.

“Actually, bago kami nagkani-kanya , we were living under one roof but we were already separated,” pagtatapat pa ng singer, actress-host.

Ngayong Pasko, umaasa si Jackie na muli silang magkakasama ni Ricky with their children. “But if he has other plans, wala namang magiging problema,” aniya.

Samantala, hindi ikinakaila ni Jackie Lou na meron pa rin umano siyang frustrations bilang isang aktres dahil hanggang ngayon ay hindi pa rin umano niya nagagampanan ang mga challenging roles that she wanted to portray. But she continues to hope na mangyayari ito balang araw.

Between singing and acting, mas pinapaboran niya ang huli. Aminado rin siya that she’s not as good as her mom pagdating sa kantahan at bilang performer.

“My mom is one of a kind,” deklara niya.
