“MAMA Mercy,” the 84-year-old mother of Botolan, Zambales Mayor Bing Maniquis, joined the legions of supporters of Manila Mayor and Aksyon Demokratiko standard bearer Isko Moreno when he recently went to Barangay Danak Bunga in Botolan, Zambales, as part of his grassroots consultation tour.

“Yan nanay ko kahit matanda na, hindi mapigil na pumunta dito, matagal na po iyang fans ni Yorme, gusto niyang makita,” Maniquis told the residents before introducing Moreno.

Mama Mercy was at the front row along with other officials of Botolan and was also among the first who had a ‘selfie’ with Moreno. She also listened intently as Moreno spoke his piece and was even seen nodding most of the time.

Mama Mercy said she was very happy to finally meet Moreno in person, whom she said is her “Lodi.”

Moreno and her entire slate were warmly welcomed by Botolan residents and officials led by Maniquis and Rep. Jaq Khonghun, along with leaders of farmer and fishermen groups and barangays.

There, Moreno assured that once he becomes the leader of the country, he will implement a drastic cut in the taxes being imposed on petroleum products and power supply for the people to directly benefit.
