Isko signs P22B budget for Manila for 2022

Thus declared Manila Mayor and Aksyon Demokratiko presidential bet Isko Moreno, as he signed yesterday the city government’s budget for 2022 worth P22.2 billion.

Moreno said that about 53.86 percent of the total budget is allocated for the social services of the local government.

“Nilakihan natin yung portion para makaramdam ang taong bayan sa Lungsod ng Maynila na may gobyerno sa Maynila, na may masasandalan silang gobyerno sa Maynila,” he said.

Moreno, who was joined in the budget signing by Vice Mayor and Manila City Council Presiding Officer Honey Lacuna, City Budget Officer Atty. Grace Chua, Congressman and vice mayoral candidate Yul Servo-Nieto and members of the city council, said that under the budget for social services, 16.69 percent of it is allotted for healthcare services, 10.72 percent for social amelioration program, 5.10 percent for food packs and 3.81 percent for educational purposes.

“Gamot para isurvive yung tao, and facilities para may mapaglagakan at mapapanatag yung mga kamag-anak na ma-iimpeksyon ng COVID-19,” Moreno said.

“We will be more vigilant. We will continue to be efficient in expenditures and we will find ways as much as possible to give free and better healthcare for each and everyone not only for COVID-19 but for all other diseases,” he added.
