Inmate escapes from hospital
AUTHORITIES are going after a female inmate who escaped from her two police escorts at a hospital in Quezon City on Wednesday.
The suspect, detained on drug charges at the Kamuning Police Station 10, was reportedly being examined for stomach pains at the East Avenue Medical Center (EAMC) when she escaped around 11:30 p.m.
Probers said Dayao met with her live-in partner, who accompanied her to the comfort room.
However, the inmate’s police escorts, S/Sgt. Ariel Traspe and Cpl. Kenneth Darel Asuncion noticed she was already missing after she did not return to the Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB-Gyn) section.
The two policemen were turned over to the Quezon City Police District Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit (QCPD-CIDU) for investigation.
