India’s 75th Independence Day celebrated in UPHSD
LAS PIÑAS CITY – Indian Ambassador to the Philippines Shambhu Kumaran joined the Indian National College of Medicine students of the University of Perpetual Help System DALTA (UPHSD) in Las Piñas City, celebrating the 75th anniversary of Indian Independence, marking the historic August 15, 1947 – that ended nearly 200 years of British colonial rule on Monday, August 15, 2022, at Ernesto Crisostomo Hall of the said university in the south of Metro Manila.
Around 800 coeds taking medicine courses wore their national costumes and joined the traditional presentations in cooperation with the university’s administrations.
Dr. Don De Guzman, School Director of UPHSD Las Piñas Campus; Dr. Emelita Gatmaitan, Dean of School of Medicine; and Dr. Norieta Tancio, International Foreign Relations Affairs Office, also participated in the program.
