Indian students mark Indian Independence Day
LAS PIÑAS CITY – Indian National College of Medicine students of the University of Perpetual Help in Las Piñas City, celebrated the 75th anniversary of Indian Independence, remembering August 15, 1947 – ending nearly 200 years of British colonial rule on Monday, August 15, 2022, at Ernesto Crisostomo Hall of the said university in the south of Metro Manila.
Around 800 coeds taking medicine courses enjoyed the day wearing their national costumes and joined the traditional presentations in cooperation with the university’s administrations.
The event is their first in-person celebration here in the university after the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic and strict quarantine.
