Inday Sara is adopted daughter of Laguna

STA. Cruz, Laguna – The Sangguniang Panlalawigan of Laguna passed a resolution recognizing Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte as the adopted daughter of the province.

Vice Gov. Karen Agapay announced the unanimous decision of the Saggunian members during the campaign sortie here of Inday Sara.

Mayor Sara was the guest of honor at the gathering of the barangay health workers and several women’s group in the province.

“Isa pong resolusyon ngpagkilala sa ating minamahal na Mayor Sara Duterte as adopted daughter ng Laguna. Nasasalamin kasi sa kanya ang katalinuhan at syempre ang sigasig ng ating pambansang bayani Dr. Jose Rizal and of course ang pagiging mahinhin at mapagkalinga gaya ni Maria Makiling,” Agapay said.

The resolution was signed last March 16 and was presented to Mayor Sara during her visit in the province.

Gov. Ramil Hernandez said he personally invited Mayor Sara to visit and campaign in the province.

For her part, Mayor Sara said she was very thankful for the warm welcome of the people of Laguna.

“Nagpapasalamat ako sa provincial government ng Laguna sa kanila pag declare sa akin as an adopted daughter of Laguna and it’s an honor,” Mayor Sara said in an interview.

In her speech before the women;s group, she encouraged them to create their own business for additional income.

She shared the program in Davao City called Magnegosyo Ta Day which aimed at helping women to have small businesses.

Hernandez and his wife second-district Rep. Ruth Hernandez have expressed full support to vice presidential candidate and Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte.

Inday Sara, the vice presidential candidate of Lakas-CMD and Hugpong ng Pagbabago (HNP), visited Laguna for some meet and greet activities barangay volunteer workers, barangay nutrition scholars and members of the Serbisyong Tama Kababaihan at the Laguna Sports Comelec in Sta Cruz town.

Hernandez told his constituents that aside from being the daughter of President Rodrigo Roa Duterte, the Davao mayor is known by her own accomplishments in her city.

Hernandez said Laguna should support the Lakas-CMD candidate for vice president as a show of gratitude to President Duterte, who has given Laguna the resources it deserves from the national government.

For her part, Rep. Hernandez said she idolizes Mayor Sara as a woman and a public servant.

“Iniidolo po natin bilang isang babae…bilang isang lingkod bayan …dahil siya po ay mabuting lingkod bayan, subok na sa panunungkulan at may galing, may tapang at may malasakit sa mamamayan. Ipagpapatuloy niya ang legasiya ng kanyang ama para sa mabuting panunungkulan, magaling na pamamahala,” she said.
