Imus LGU inspects cemeteries on Undas

IMUS CITY, Cavite – In commemorating this year’s Undas, the Imus local government unit (LGU) headed by Mayor Alex Advincula personally inspected the command posts prepared by the city government during his visit to the city public cemetery Tuesday, November 1, 2022.

The Imus LGU released guidelines ahead of All Saints’ (Nov. 1) and All Souls’ Day (Nov. 2) through “kAAlalay sa Undas” program of Mayor Advincula as Malacañan Palace declares October 31 a special holiday to give way to Filipino enough time to visit their departed loved ones.

Command posts were established in the cemeteries in coordination with local police, barangays, and the Local Disaster and Risk Reduction and Management Office.

Imus City provided free services for the safe commemoration of Undas, like lost and found, free wheelchair use, charging stations, first aid stations, free medicines, free texts and calls, and free drinking water and coffee.

The LGU also reminded visitors that cleaning, painting, and renovating tombs has been prohibited since October 30.

Children aged 12 and under are allowed to join as long as they are fully vaccinated, any vehicle is prohibited, items that can cause fire are not permitted, and no sharp objects of any kind, such as knives, cutters, etc.

No videoke or things can create or source loud sound, and any kind of playing cards and gambling is illegal.
