
Ilocos Norte Police Prov’l Office gets award
As Best Police Provincial Office Human Rights Desk of the Year
FOR being chosen as Best Police Provincial Office Human Rights Desk of the year, PNP chief Benjamin Acorda personally handed over Tuesday the Plaque of Recognition to Col. Julius Suriben, Ilocos Norte police director.
This came after the Ilocos Norte Police Provincial Office (INPPO), under the leadership of PCOL Julius C Suriben, Provincial Director, was officially named the Best Police Provincial Office Human Rights Desk of the Year.
The awarding was held On July 4, 2023, counciding the 16th PNP-HRAO (Philippine National Police – Human Rights Affairs Office) Founding Anniversary was celebrated at the Multi-Purpose Center, Camp BGen Rafael T Crame in Quezon City.
The award recognizes the outstanding achievements and remarkable initiatives of the INPPO in promoting human rights and ensuring that justice is served and their unwavering commitment to upholding and promoting human rights in the province of Ilocos Norte.
By establishing a robust Human Rights Desk, the INPPO has proven their dedication to safeguarding the rights of every individual, fostering stronger trust and collaboration between law enforcement agencies and the community they serve.
INPPO bagged the award for its successful community-based human rights protection and awareness program and the inclusion of an online Human Rights Desk (e-HRAO) thru the INPPO’s iP.O.L.I.C.E. (Ilocos Police Online Law enforcement Investigation Community affairs and Emergency services) Mobile Application as well as institutionalized Human Rights Education for its personnel.
With those programs, all the Manang and Manong Pulis of INPPO advocate Community and Service-oriented, and Human rights-based policing as a way of life for every citizen.
PCOL Suriben expressed his profound gratitude to the PNP-HRAO and affirmed the INPPO’s unwavering commitment to human rights, underlining the necessity of maintaining a healthy relationship between law enforcement agencies and the communities they serve.
He also praised INPPO’s committed officers and non-uniformed personnel for their outstanding efforts, which was important in achieving this significant distinction.
The INPPO assures their Kailians that they will continue to strive for excellence, ensuring the protection and promotion of human rights in the province of Ilocos Norte.
