The illegal lumber confiscated during an anti-illegal logging operation conducted by joint operatives of the Camp Crame-based Special Maritime Response Team, Headquarters Maritime Group led by Maj. Dandy E. Ferriol Jr., and members of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources-Cabanatuan City (CENRO), and the local police in a furniture shop in General Tinio, Nueva Ecija on Sunday. Police arrested the shop owner following the seizure of assorted lumber flitches composed of 39 pieces of mahogany, 25 pieces of white and red lauan, 18 pieces of yakal, and a piece of gmelina with a volume of 1,459 board feet and worth P78,480.
