THE Inter-Agency Chess Group in cooperation with SSS Chess Club will hold the IACG FIDE-rated Executive and Challengèrs inviational rapid chess tournament at the SSS Head Office, East Avenue, Quezon City on Nov. 30.

The one-day competition is being organized by IACG president Engr. Resito David and SSS Chess Club president Carl Espallardo.

“This time, we are inviting all the chess-playing executives for the individual event ang giving a special award in team category,” said Engr. David.

“We are glad that IACG is our partner in promoting chess not only forthe seniors but alsi for the youth hiping to become a chess master,” added Espallardo.

Team Asgard joins the Executive Group as early registrant.

Others to follow are the teams from SSS, DPWH, Comelec, BSP, PNP, GSIS, BOC and others.

In the Challengers section, are chess players that are not over 1900 FIDE rating.

At stake are trophies and cash prizes to the top performers in the event supported by Engr. Shihawe Sangcopan, GM Bishop Jerry, The Purple Farm, EC Daughson, JSM Aluminum, ABLE Trading, AMB Group, Grandknight Chess Club, among others.

In the Executives section FIDE 2200 category, the prizes are;

Individual Award

Champion P5,000 and trophy; runner- up P4,000 and medal; third placer P3,000 and medal; fourth.placer P2,000 and medal; and fifth placer P1,000 and medal.

Challengers Section FIDE 1900 category

First place P3,000 and trophy, second place P2,000;l and medal third placer P1,000 and medal; P750 and medal; fifth place P500 and medal.

Top Category.

(At least 3 entries per category)

Senior 55 up P500 and medal, female – P500 and medal; college P500 and medal; high school P500 and medal; elementary P500 and medal; PWD P500 and medal.

Tournament officials are Elmer Fumar (Tournament Director), IA Elias Lao Jr.- (Chief Arbiter), and NA Boyet Tardecilla, NA Cesar Calopez, NA Dioniver Medrano, NA Francis Ramos and NA Gabriel Tardecilla (deputy arbiters).
