Hundreds of S. Leyte PDLs receive COVID-19 booster shots
SOME 939 persons deprived of liberty (PDLs) have recently received their COVID-19 booster shots at the Leyte Regional Prison in Southern Leyte.
The mass inoculation was made possible with the efforts of LRP medical personnel, the local government unit (LGU) vaccination team of Abuyog, and the Department of Health (DOH) in Eastern Visayas.
From September 2021 to the present, 95.99% of the total PDL population are fully-vaccinated, while 75.53% received booster shots.
The Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) prison facilities are the Iwahig Prison and Penal Farm in Palawan, San Ramon Prison and Penal Farm in Zamboanga City, Correctional Institution for Women in Mandaluyong City, Sablayan Prison and Penal Farm in Oriental Mindoro, New Bilibid Prison (NBP) in Muntinlupa, Davao Prison and Penal Farm in Davao del Norte, and Leyte Regional Prison in Southern Leyte.
