Housing, quality education, health on top of Camille Villar’s campaign platforms
DUMAGUETE City – Camille Villar expressed belief she can bring new perspective on persistent issues confronting the Filipinos, such as housing, education and quality education as she runs for senator in the May 2025 polls.
“Naniniwala ako that I can bring in a new perspective from the world that I grew up in. Marami ng bagong mga views, new ways of doing things that we see here in the Philippines and even abroad na nais ko pong dalhin sa legislation at mga programa. Kasi it’s about time na members of my generation,” said Villar.
“The millennial don’t just stay in the sidelines and face uncertainty about their future. We need to step up and do something about it that’s why I want to be their voice in the Senate kasi kaya naman po natin ‘yan,” she added.
In addition to her passion to push for entrepreneurship among young Filipinos, Villar said she would also focus her priority projects on housing, quality education and health.
“Ang aking mga adhikain naman ay talagang para ang bawat pamilyang Pilipino ay magkaroon ng sarili nilang bahay at lupa. Para ang bawat pamilyang Pilipino, ang bawat Pilipino’y magkaroon ng sapat na trabaho o hanapbuhay at lahat po tayo ay magkaroon ng quality education,” she said on Thursday during a press conference of the administration slate at the Negros Oriental Convention Center.
“Now, I know these things and these problems have been recurring in the past. Pero bilang isang millennial na nagsisimula na rin ng sarili kong pamilya. Ngayon nakikita ko na po ang mga concerns ng generation ko,” she added.
