HOUSE leaders Friday expressed their condolences to the loved ones of Antipolo City Rep. Resurrection Acop who passed away.

“We are deeply saddened by the news that our good friend and a hard working colleague, Representative Resurreccion Acop, has left us to join her Creator. My sympathies go out to the love of her life—her family, especially her husband, former Rep. Romeo Acop, friends and constituents in the Second District of Antipolo. You will be terribly missed in the halls of Congress. Thank you for your service ma’am,” said House Majority Leader and Leyte 1st District Rep. Martin G. Romualdez.

They described Acop, wife of former Antipolo City Rep. Romeo Acop, as a kind and selfless public servant.

Speaker Lord Allan Velasco said: “She will be remembered for her kindness, passion and commitment to selflessly serve the people of the 2nd district of Antipolo City.”

Acop represented the second district of Antipolo City. She ran unopposed replacing her husband.

She was the vice chairperson of the House committee on health.

She principally authored 102 measures and co-authored 44 bills.
