Homecoming pinay nabbed for Kush smuggle try

AGENTS of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Inter-Agency Drug Interdiction Task Group (NAIA-IADITG) on Wednesday arrested a 34-year-old Filipina for trying to smuggle some P1.5 million worth of Kush from Bangkok, Thailand.

The high-grade marijuana derivatives which weighed 1.110 kilos were found concealed inside a plastic marble pot. Its value was placed at P1.540 million.

According to a report from the Philippine National Police Drug Enforcement Group headed by Brigadier General Eleazar P. Matta, the suspect was placed under arrest at the NAIA Terminal 3’s Customs International Arrival Area at around 11 a.m. after X-ray scanning and physical examination showed the Kush in her luggage.

The suspect and the recovered pieces of drug evidence were placed under the custody of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency under Director General Moro Virgilio M. Lazo.

The suspect was charged with violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 for importation and possession of prohibited drugs.
