HNP slams fake FB account
THE Hugpong ng Pagbabago (HNP) disowned a Facebook account showing support for Senator Bong Go.
In a statement, the HNP said its chairperson Davao City Mayor Sara Dutere is committed to support Senator Bongbong Marcos and not Go.
The HNP branded the account as “fake” and reminded the public to be guided accordingly.
“The public is informed that this Facebook Group endorsing a presidential candidate (a screenshot of a FB account showing HNP for Bong GO) is not affiliated with Hugpong ng Pagbabago Regional Political Party,” HNP said.
Mayor Sara, a vice presidential candidate, has recently forged an alliance with Lakas CMD, Pwersa ng Masang Pilipino, and Partido Federal ng Pilipinas – whose presidential candidate is Marcos.
“HNP is urging the public to be constantly alert and cautious about misleading information and fake content peddled on social media these days,” the party said.
In the Facebook account, Mayor Sara allegedly posted a photo of the senator with a caption “Kuya Bong Go ang president ko. Kung mahal mo si Pangulo, mag-Bong Go!”
The account also used the photo of Mayor Sara as a profile picture.
Go is running for president under Federalismo ng Dugong Dakilang Samahan after leaving the PDP-Laban.
