High-impact projects
WE doff our hat to the National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) Board for approving several high-impact programs and projects.
NEDA Secretary Arsenio Balisacan said the board, headed by President Marcos himself, approved the P269.7-billion projects and programs last Friday (October 13).
“With the approved projects, the Marcos administration reaffirms its commitment to aggressively address infrastructure development,” according to the NEDA head.
The projects include the P4.5-billion upgrade, expansion, operation and maintenance of the Bohol-Panglao International Airport.
The NEDA secretary said the multibillion-peso international airport project is seen to boost Philippine tourism and create more high-quality jobs for the Filipino people.
The high-impact projects also include the P392-million Dialysis Center PPP Project for the Renal Center Facility of the Baguio General Hospital and Medical Center.
The project will enable the BGH to provide more affordable dialysis treatment to a greater number of chronic kidney disease patients, said the NEDA secretary.
In the view of many, the approved projects and programs will go a long way in attaining the development goals of the administration.
