Helping rice farmers
THE government, through the Department of Agriculture (DA), is helping help rice farmers to increase production.
This, the government willl do by granting low-interest rate loans to rice farmers not only in Luzon but also in the Visayas and Mindanao.
The money will be used to buy seeds, fertilizers, pesticides and other farm inputs, according to President Ferdinand ‘Bongbong’ Marcos Jr.
In launching the government’s low interest credit line, President Marcos said farmers should be aided as they carry out their role in achieving food security.
The Ilocano chief executive assured the farmers that the government will continue promoting their welfare, rights and improvement of the agriculture sector.
At the same time, Mr. Marcos asked the farmers to “continue making your land productive and that you join the efforts to improve your communities.”
He added: “Let us work together in improving our country. This way, we can all reach our dreams.”
Let’s make sure that our rice farmers have access to low interest rate loans throughout the year.
