Helper nabbed for stabbing drinking buddy
POLICE arrested a 48-year-old helper who stabbed and seriously wounded his drinking buddy at noon Thursday in Malabon City.
Malabon Police Chief P/Col. Amante Daro commended the operatives of Sub-Station 6, led by P/Cpl. Dionicio Tagasa, Jr. and P/Cpl. Ronald Eugenio for the arrest of the suspect, of Barangay San Agustin and recovered the bladed weapon he used in stabbing his neighbor.
The victim was rushed by his immediate family to Ospital ng Malabon.
Homicide investigators P/SSgt. Michael Oben and P/Cpl. Rocky Pagindas said that before the incident, the victim and the suspect were having a drinking spree along Magsaysay St. when they figured in a heated altercation.
The victim decided to leave the place, unaware that the suspect secretly followed him, and upon reaching the compound of Magsaysay St., Bgy San Agutin, the latter treacherously stabbed him at the back of his body and then fled immediately.
Responding personnel of Malabon Police Sub-Station 6 were able to interview a housewife who witnessed the stabbing that resulted in the arrest of the suspect in a follow-up operation and the recovery of the blood-stained bladed weapon.
