SENATOR Risa Hontiveros rejected an appeal by the camp of former Bamban Mayor Alice Guo, also known as Guo Hua Ping, for a Senate executive session, questioning the credibility of any information she might provide.

In an ambush interview, Hontiveros expressed belief that the Committee has no reason to believe Guo would offer factual or valuable information in a private session.

“Ni hindi nga parin nya maamin na Chinese national siya at pinanganak siya sa China kahit harap-harapan nang pinakita ang mga ebidensya sa kanya. Nakakainsulto na pinipilit parin niyang Pilipino siya,” said Hontiveros, referring to Guo’s refusal to acknowledge her Chinese nationality despite evidence presented by the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI).

Hontiveros further questioned Guo’s credibility, arguing that if she cannot even be truthful about her identity, there is no reason to trust her statements in an executive session.

“If she cannot even tell the truth about her identity, why should we believe everything else that comes out of her mouth?”the senator said.

“Magpakatotoo siya sa susunod na pagdinig, at baka sakali maniwala kaming magpapakatotoo din siya sa isang executive session,” she added.
