Gun-for-hire boss caught in Batangas
CAMP GEN MIGUEL MALVAR, Batangas -The 55-year-old alleged leader of a gun-for-hire group on Thursday was arrested in Padre Garcia, Batangas.
Batangas Police Provincial Director Col. Glicerio Cansilao said suspect Sulpicio Andal, of Bgy. Maugat West, was arrested during the implementation of a search warrant in Padre Garcia.
Cansilao said Andal is the leader of the “Andal Gun-For-Hire Crime Group” that operates in the province of Batangas.
Joint operatives of the Provincial Intelligence Unit, Batangas Police Provincial Office, Drug Enforcement Unit, 1st Batangas Provincial Mobile Force Company, Regional Mobile Force Battalion and Padre Garcia Municipal Police Station arrested the suspect for violation of Republic Act 10591.
A warrant for Andal’s arrest was issued by Executive Judge Charito Macalintal-Sawali of the Tanauan City, Batangas Regional Trial Court last October 6.
Seized from the suspect was a cal. 45 Colt gun, magazines and some live ammunition.
Charges for violation of RA 10591 or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act were filed against Andal.
