Guest host on Willie Revillame gameshow
SENATOR Christopher “Bong” Go took a short break from his strenuous schedule to bring services closer to the people and showed a more playful side as he joined Willie Revillame as a guest host on “Wil to Win” on Wednesday.
Known as Mr. Malasakit for his compassionate brand of public service, Senator Go was all smiles as he helped spread joy to the studio audience and viewers at home.
The senator complemented his legislative duties with game show antics — proving that he can entertain just as well as he can serve his fellow Filipinos.
One of the highlights of the show was when Go assisted Willie in a lively guessing game segment, Willie of Fortune, where he enthusiastically cheered for the contestants, playfully teased some of them, and even sang along to a few classic hits.
“Six years ago, guest din po ako dati. Masaya po akong nakabalik dito. Ilang taon na ang pagpapasaya ni Kuya Wil sa ating mga kababayan. Nakikita ko na napaka init ng pagtanggap niyo dito,” greeted Go, earning cheers from the crowd. Many viewers praised his down-to-earth nature, with some commenting online that his appearance made them appreciate him even more.
But what made the moment even more special were the unexpected bloopers — the crowd erupted in laughter when Go mischievously joked that the cash prizes were just play money, prompting Willie to pinch the senator’s cheeks in jest.
But beyond the laughter and fun, Revillame took a moment to share a heartfelt story about Go’s kindness.
He revealed that during the height of the pandemic, it was Go who played a crucial role in ensuring that Wowowin Tutok to Win (Willie’s show at the time) could continue airing and bringing joy to Filipinos at home.
“Nung nagkaroon ng COVID, tinawagan ko siya, humingi ako ng tulong. Gumawa ako ng paraan para makapag programa, yun yung Tutok to Win. Dahil sa kanya, natuloy yung pagtulong ko sa bawat Pilipino, during the COVID years. Siya ay isang taong napaka-simple, walang luho, ang taong naniniwala akong mabuting tao,” Revillame recognized.
