Girl ‘raped,’ killed by man she met on social media
A 19-YEAR-OLD girl was allegedly raped and killed by a man she only met on social media in Bautista, Pangasinan.
The victim, who was identified only as alias “Cathy,” and a resident of Bgy. Lucao, Dagupan City, Pangasinan, was in an advanced stage of decomposition when found in a vacant lot in Bautista town.
The victim’s family told police that Cathy looked for a job via social media.
A man offered her a job.
The family said due to Cathy’s eagerness to earn an income, she agreed to meet the man she only met on Facebook.
The man allegedly offered Cathy to work as nanny.
“Ang sabi raw nung lalaki ay naghahanap ang tita n’ya ng mag-aalaga ng bata kaya nakipagkita siya sa bago niya lang nakilala sa Facebook,” a relative told police.
Since then, Cathy failed to return home until she was found dead.
The victim was believed raped and was choked to death.
Police arrested a 21-year-old suspect, who allegedly admitted to raping Cathy and choking her to death.
Cathy’s family are crying for justice for her gruesome murder.
