GenTri, Noveleta LGUs issue guidelines for ‘Undas 2024
GENERAL TRIAS CITY, Cavite – The local government units of General Trias City and Noveleta have issued guidelines for the commemoration of the All Souls’ and All Saints Day 2024.
General Trias City Mayor Luis Ferrer IV said rules for orderly and safe visits to public and private cemeteries and memorial parks will be imposed in the city.
He said visiting hours for departed loved ones at the cemetery in Dulong Bayan and Tarique, Buenavista and Himlayang General Trias in Pasong Camachile II are from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. only on October 31 to November 1, 2024.
Other days are normal visiting hours.
He said it is strictly forbidden to carry any type of weapon or knife inside the cemetery.
Gambling, drinking alcohol and loud music are prohibited.
“If you feel unwell, go immediately to the First Aid Station in the area,” Ferrer said.
The mayor said all barangays should cooperate with the police and members of the Bureau of Fire for the smooth flow of traffic.
In the nearby Ttown of Noveleta, Mayor Dino Chua said the Noveleta Public Cemetery in Bgy. Poblacion will be opened on November 1 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. only.
He said the power line in the part of the cemetery was severely-affected by typhoon Kristine, so visiting hours were limited on Undas day .
The entire town of Noveleta submerged in floodwater on Thursday night due to Kristine and the municipality is still covered in garbage and mud.
