Hindi na natapos ni Gary Valenciano ang kanyang concert na “Gary V Pure Energy: One More Time” sa Smart Araneta Coliseum nitong nakaraang Biyernes, Dec. 20.

Na-cut short ang performance dahil hindi maganda ang kanyang pakiramdam at siya na mismo ang nag-anunsyo nito sa audience bago siya nagpaalam.

“Ladies and gentlemen, hindi ito kasali sa script namin. Alam ko kasi ako yung nagsulat ng script. But I don’t know if I can finish this show tonight.

“But what I want to do is I want to do the songs that I know can speak into your heart.

“It breaks my heart to know that we have prepared so much for all of you, but the body is saying ‘Gary, be cautious. You have many more years to go,’” pahayag ng Livewire Performer.

Hindi pa man nagsasalita si Gary about his condition ay napansin na ng audience na medyo hindi maganda ang pakiramdam niya, pero patuloy pa rin siyang nag-perform hanggang sa abot ng kanyang makakaya.

Bukod dito ay sunod-sunod din ang post sa Facebook ng asawa’t manager niya na si Angeli Pangilinan-Valenciano upang mag-update sa kanyang sitwasyon.

Ayon kay Angeli, bago pa man ang concert ay masama na ang pakiramdam ni Gary pero pinilit pa rin nitong ituloy ang show.

“He ingested something and vomited so many times in the last two hours. He wasn’t sure he could do this concert. The doctors were backstage and he had an IV … and he said he wants to do it! But he has since sang six songs.. changing the repertoire … please continue to pray,” ang unang post ni Angeli.

In-assure rin ng misis ni Gary na okay naman ang mister niya. Aniya ay dehydrated lang ito at nanghihina.

“Don’t worry guys. Gary is ok… just dehydrated. He vomited about 8 times today. But am here with him and he’s just weak. A Type 1 diabetic goes through serious medical issues and we couldn’t afford what we call diabetic ketoacidosis so we are making sure he balances everything in a while. To the fans… thank you ! God is good. We love you all …” ang update ni Angeli.

“He’s okay everyone ! Good vitals, alive, strong heart and just a tad bit dehydrated!!! Blood pressure is normal so is blood sugar. God is good!!!! Thank you to everyone who watched the show, prayed for us … and to Lifeline 16-911 for being there for us!!! And to my first cousin Dr. Chad Hizon thank you so much for being there for us!!!! The cast and the crew, Regine, Maymay, Rayver BGYO, Ice … and to our family Paolo, Gab, Kiana … Love you all so much!” ang sumunod niyang post.

Nag-post din si Angeli ng video mismo ni Gary after the concert. Nakahiga ang OPM icon at halatang mahina but he assured everybody that he’s okay.

“Hey guys, I’m getting better. Good people (are) taking care of me. I’ll be okay. God bless!” ani Gary.

Ikinuwento rin ni Angeli na nagawa pa ng asawa na makapag-perform ng eight songs kahit masama na ang pakiramdam nito. Upang makapag-perform ay kinailangang mabigyan ng drip si Gary pero hindi raw makita-kita ng doktor ang vein nito.

Aniya pa ay umiiyak na ang kanilang panganay na anak na si Paolo Valenciano, na siya ring direktor ng concert.

“Our son, Paolo the director kept crying telling his Papa ‘it’s your call now Dad… you sing what you can and stop when you feel you need to end the concert…,’” kwento ni Angeli.

“Then as I called our pastor Ed de Guzman and his wife Nonette who prayed over him, and in 5 minutes after his prayer – Dr Chad got the vein and Gary got the drip! After prayers, Gary said ‘I want to try and do it, son.’ So we made Dr Chad sit beside me in the front row monitoring him and he shook his head saying ‘This is unbelievable.. how can he do this?’ song after song. He couldn’t even stand properly for 2 minutes before he went onstage!” patuloy ng misis ni Gary.

Kahapon ng umaga ay muling nag-update si Angeli at sinabing bumubuti na ng kalagayan ni Gary.

“Sugar ok. BP ok. Creatinine ok. He is ok. Just weak from all the throwing up – from the stage to the stretcher is what happened but he is ok now. Just weak. May I say I love you all and I believe that in all things He works for the good of those who love him who are called according to His purpose …so beyond the flood is a rainbow. All will be well,” pagbabahagi ng misis ni Gary.

“P.S. After his concert a drunken driver bumped his van. Such is life. Three hours before the concert his tech director broke his arm. Our accountant too. His driver got into an accident too which rendered him on leave for 4 weeks and Gary drove and parked his car everywhere!” pahabol pa ni Angeli.
