BulaGAB Lagman started his career with ABS-CBN playing supporting roles in “La Luna Sangre” in 2017 and “Halik” in 2018. He then did a movie with Viva, “Never Not Love You” in 2019, and signed up with Viva Artists Agency. His last movie with them was last year, playing a villain role in the fantasy film, “Mang Jose”.

He now takes a new career move as he goes daring in the sex-drama, “Bula”, now streaming on Vivamax. Here, he is seen doing nude love scenes with bombshells Ayanna Misola and Rob Guinto.

What prompted him to go sexy?

“I like the story of ‘Bula’ where I play Jacob, a cop,” he says. “Parang change of image ito and I think that at 26, I’m now mature enough to do roles like this. But before I accepted it, I had a long talk muna with the director, Bobby Bonifacio. I asked him kung ano ang mga gagawin ko, what are his expectations. Then I told him about my limitations and he agreed naman. But during my bedscene with Ayanna, bigla niyang ibinaba ‘yung briefs ko. Hindi raw niya alam about my limitations. Okay lang naman at itinuloy pa rin namin ang eksena, kasi naka-plaster pa rin naman ako.

You’d see ‘yung scene ng paghila niya sa briefs ko in the movie.”

At the press screening of “Bula” at Gateway, press people who attended told him he made the right career move as Vivamax needs new leading men like him who are tall (he’s 6 feet 1 inch) and physically well-built. How did he feel watching himself on screen doing those love scenes?

“Dito sa ‘Bula’, grabe man ang love scenes namin, artistic naman ang shots ni direk. Hindi naman bastos ang dating. So okay lang. I really want to thank Direk Bobby, Ayanna and Rob kasi when I first went daring, sila ang mga nakasama ko and they made it easy for me.’’

How did he find Ayanna and Rob? “I like them both, maganda ang personalities nila and they’re easy to get along with. We shot the movie on location in Baguio and sa service car pa lang going there, nakakuwentuhan ko na sila. Sa shooting, na-appreciate ko kung gaano sila kabait at kagaan katrabaho. I told myself then that when I’d do a sexy film, I want to be comfortable and heto nga, magaan talaga ang set namin. With Rob, sobrang haba ng kuwentuhan namin nang mag-food trip kami with the staff. Si Ayanna, nakasama ko naman sa Botejyu, kwentuhan din. Now that I’ve watched the movie, happy naman ako, maganda siya and I’m proud to be a part of it.”

With “Bula”, he was able to appreciate doing independent films. “Matagal akong nawalan ng trabaho because of the pandemic and now, I got to appreciate my work more. Now na nagka-project na uli ako, I want to challenge myself to be a good and versatile actor. I know I have a long way to go, but I’ll do my best to show that I improve in every movie that I will do.”

What is his favorite scene in “Bula”? “The ending, but of course we cannot reveal it and spoil the viewing of the public. It’s so demanding for me kasi wala akong dialogue. You’d find out when you watch the movie. Ang ganda ng shots ni Direk Bobby doon sa scene na ‘yun and I’m excited to have my family and friends watch it.”
