Furniture agent gunned down by local trader
STA. ROSA, Nueva Ecija — A furniture agent was allegedly shot dead by a local trader shortly after they had a heated conversation here on Wednesday.
Town police head Major Fortune Dianne Bernardo identified the slain victim as Bryan Reyes, of Brgy. Soledad, this town while the suspect, who remains at large was identified as businessman Nunilon Palillo, of Purok 4, Brgy. San Isidro.
Police said the shooting occurred on Lucero St., Purok 4, Brgy. San Isidro at 12:15 p.m.
Investigation showed that the duo got embroiled in a heated altercation but after parting ways the suspect returned after five minutes and without apparent reason, shot the victim several times in different parts of the body that led to his instantaneous death.
Meanwhile, witnesses said the suspect fled on a tricycle in an unknown direction.
Police are eyeing old grudge as a possible motive for the killing.
