Free movies again for Navotas seniors

AFTER more than two years, Navoteño senior citizens can now again watch movie films at the Fishermall in Malabon City for free.

Mayor Toby Tiangco on Monday personally accompanied several senior citizens in Navotas on their way to Fishermall localed at the corner of C-4 Road and Dagat-Dagatan, Brgy. Longos, Malabon City to watch movies for free.

The city chief executive who went along with senior citizens on their way to mall’s cinema was met with theater manager and employees who warmly greet and welcomed them.

Seniors only need to bring their citizens identification card to avail of the free cinema pass every Monday and Tuesday, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

On March 2019, then Mayor John Rey Tiangco and Robert Raymond Del Rosario, president of Lalaland Funtertainments Inc., signed an agreement allowing Navoteño senior citizens free movie access at Fishermall-Malabon.

Cong. John Rey Tiangco said the free movie for Navoteño senior citizens was temporarily halted after the outbreak of Covid-19 but when cases of Coronavirus continue to fall in Navotas, the free movie access for senior citizens had been resumed.

Mayor Toby Tiangco meanwhile expressed his gratitude to the Navoteños for their support and cooperation in promoting the fight against COVID-19.
