BATANGAS CITY – The City Engineers Office (CEO) has reported that five seawalls and flood control projects in this city are now finished.

Among the completed projects are located in Bgy. Talahib Pandayan, Dela Paz Pulot Aplaya, San Agapito, and Liponpon, Isla Verde in Batangas.

The CEO oversees the construction, repair, and maintenance of drainage canals to ensure continuous water flow and prevent flooding in the said areas.

The projects include the cleaning of the canal in Bgy. Bolbok and Bgy. Poblacion 11, as well as the renovation of the street and canal in New Market.

The CEO also acted quickly for the road and clearing operation and damage assessment caused by typhoon “Paeng.”

It also immediately conducted an ocular inspection and report on the burned area in barangay Wawa in January of last year.

Under Executive Order 24 by Mayor Beverley Dimacuha, the CEO was able to collaborate with private utility companies in arranging entangled electric cables on the main streets of P. Zamora, Rizal Avenue and M. H. Del Pilar in Batangas City.

Cables that are no longer in use were also removed for a neat look and to prevent accidents.
