Camp Olivas, City of San Fernando, Pampanga — A former police officer, six wanted persons and five drug suspects were arrested in a series of police operations Friday in Bulacan.

In a report to PRO3 director Brig. Gen. Jose Hidalgo Jr., Bulacan police director Col. Relly Arnedo said Emmanuel Amutan, a dismissed police officer from Paliwas, Obando, Bulacan, was arrested on the strength of a search warrant implemented by members of the CIDG RFU3 and Obando police.

Seized from Amutan were one .9 mm pistol loaded with six full metal bullets and eight hollow point live ammunition.

Amutan admitted the confiscated firearm is a PNP issued firearm when he was still an active policeman.

In a series of anti-drug busts conducted by the Angat Station Drug Enforcement Units (SDEUs) and the San Jose Del Monte City police, the arrested suspects were identified as Elmer Binuya, 34; Rolina Manuel, 46; Miracle Groyon, 43; Joselito Nocelo, 48; and John John Eliaz, 23. Seized from them were 12 sachets of shabu valued at P44,880, drug paraphernalias and the marked money.

Meanwhile, six persons were arrested in different hot pursuit operations conducted by the tracker team of Malolos, Baliwag, Bulacan, Calumpit, and Marilao police.

They were held for estafa, qualified theft, and ecological solid waste management.

“These string of operations by Bulacan police only prove that we have no let-up on our efforts to intensify, strengthen, and focus on our anti-criminality drive,” Hidalgo said.
