Fire guts fast food’s branch in Balintawak
A fire broke out at a Mang Inasal branch inside Puregold grocery in Balintawak in Quezon City Friday morning.
According to the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP)’s National Capital Region field office, the blaze started at the fastfood’s branch on the second floor of the mall’s main building at around 7:47 am.
A witness told arson investigators that he saw smoke coming from the ground floor of the building.
BFP Ground Commander Fire Inspector Alex Maligaya said the fire started at the restaurant’s chimney due to “open flames” in their grilling station. The flame scattered up to the ceiling of the store.
The fire reached the first alarm and was put out at around about 8:26 a.m.
No one was injured during the fire.
