MARIKINA Police nabbed two women who were allegedly manufacturing and selling fake vaccination cards during an entrapment operation on Friday, police said yesterday.

Marikina City Police Chief PCol. Benliner Capili identified the suspects as Rovelyn Lebores, 37 and Alma Ramirez, 43 both residing at Bgy. Tumana, Marikina City.

Police said the two were collared inside the computer shop located along Bike 39 Farmers 1 St., Bgy Tumana, Marikina .

The arrest was made based on the information that the said computer shop was selling counterfeit vaccination cards for P250.

During the operation, police recovered a set of computers used to make fake vaccination cards as well as several fake copies of vaccination cards.

“The Marikina PNP will stem its campaign and look forward to the continued aggressive campaign of our police not only against those who make and sell fake vaccination cards but also against those who buy and use them for they are not only victimizing their families, neighbors, and city residents but also themselves for risking their safety to potential infection”, Capili said.

The suspects are now detained at Marikina CPS custodial facility and were charged for Violation of Falsification of Public Documents in relation to Sec. 12 of R.A. 11625.
