DASMARIÑAS CITY, Cavite – Dasmariñas PNP operatives nabbed a resident of Barangay Salawag for allegedly selling fake vaccination cards during an entrapment operation, Monday, January 24, 2022.

Mayor Jenny Austria-Barzaga said the entrapment operation was led by the Dasmanarinas PNP’s new chief, PLt. Col. Sherwin Boy Maglana.

A police report said the suspect, Julieta Mabon, of Barangay Salawag, was caught selling fake vaccination cards for P1,000 each.

After a meeting with the doctors, local government officials discovered that there were residents and workers in the city who were using fake vaccination cards.

Mayor Barzaga reminded the public that legitimate vaccination cards are issues only at designated vaccination sites.

According to the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG), the Revised Penal Code and Mandatory Reporting of Notifiable Disease Law strictly prohibits the forgery of vaccination cards.

Pursuant to the said law, anyone caught forging or using fake vaccination cards may be fined P20,000 to P50,000, or may be imprisoned for up to six months.
