Factory worker drowns in Batangas river resort

POLICE the other day reported that a 39-year-old factory worker was allegedly drowned in a river resort in Sto. Tomas, Batangas.

Sto. Tomas Police Station case investigators P/MSgs. Sonny Boy C. Ligsay and Herbert C. Lorico identified the fatality as Vincent Adao, married, a factory worker, and a resident of Bgy. San Isidro Norte.

A telephone call from a concerned citizen was received by Sto. Tomas CPS personnel and inform that there was dead person allegedly drowned in a river resort.

Initial investigation revealed that at around 2:50 p.m. the victim together with his companions at Guardians’ brotherhood had a feeding program at Bgy. San Isidro Sur, Sto. Tomas City, and after the activity, they headed to Rio Del Camballao river resort to swim.

After an hour Rodrigo Comidero, the resort caretaker noticed that Adao was visibly seen under the water and not moving and immediately pull out and resuscitation was performed but failed to revive the same.

An ocular investigation was conducted that no foul play was found as well as no injury was noticed in Adao’s body.

The family revealed that Adao was previously suffered from hypertension.

The victim’s body was brought to Bayrante Funeral Parlor in Bgy. Poblacion 4, Sto. Tomas City for autopsy.
