Ex-cop shot dead in QC
A RETIRED policeman was shot dead by a man and a woman while walking his dog on Wednesday morning in Quezon City.
The victim, identified as Robert Tortogo, 66, resident of 17 Sto. Niño Interior Street, Barangay Payatas A, Quezon City was killed on the spot due to a lone gunshot wound at the back of his head.
A report from the Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit of the Quezon City Police District showed the incident occurred at around 6:05 a.m., November 24, 2021, along Sto. Niño Interior Street, Barangay Payatas A.
Investigation showed the victim was walking his dog when the two suspects appeared from behind.
One of the suspects shot the victim at the back of his head killing him on the spot. The female companion of the gunman served as a lookout.
The suspects fled on board a color white Quadcore taxi (AMA-1945).
Police said the male suspect was clad in black t-shirt and jersey short pants while the woman was clad in floral blouse and color red skirt.
